Maxi Taylor is a Fine Art Photographer fascinated with the indexicality of the photographic image and its relationship to temporality. She builds pinhole cameras from low-cost everyday materials, employing them to photograph people who have been disregarded and ignored. Influenced by socially engaged art and documentary photography, Maxi aims to create imagery that represents humanity and our society. Inspired by artwork that makes us question our beliefs and morality, she wants her work to open debate and start conversation. Maxi feels a moral responsibility towards the people she photographs, taking great care in presenting a respectful portrait. Maxi is devoted to creating honest artwork and feels a duty to educate others. She has a desire to exhibit the craft and show the importance of process, which may hold present any faults and failures.
